My darling Tony Yesterday we celebrated your life surrounded by our families and friends You would be amazed and delighted to have seen them all We played the music you and me chose together,we had a wonderful slide show from your childhood in China to a few weeks ago The only flowers were from me in memory of the brightness you brought to my life Your sister Mary wrote a piece about your childhood together in China and Russ wrote a moving poem in tribute to your long friendship Many many people made donations in your name for Diabetes uk as was your wish Some on this site and some in the chapel Although sad it was a wonderful celebration of who you were Your smile ,sparkling eyes ,kindness,generosity,and courage Although I do and will miss you I know that you are with me locked in my heart forever Your ever loving wife Steph

I have seen Tony Battle with his health on many occasions in the 7 years I've known him,but whatever it was he soldiered on and came through it but sadly this one he couldn't but what a trooper he was x
